My March Enchantess Bag !

Heya!

My march enchantess bag arrived way back in march, just a day or 2 after i received my march vellvette box and boy can i say i was surprised!
This was my first time with enchantess. I generally hated everything they gave out in their bags and plus their website too seemed erm well shabby? My magazine never arrived and i don't even want it anymore (though their customer care seemed helpful enough).
What made me sub? Well i LOVE the whole feel of receiving a surprise at the end of the month so thought i'd give this one a try!
Lets see what i got!
*Ta da*

It arrived in this Indian bright pink bag/potli which i am sure you all are aware by now and apparently they have changed their card design, since i have not seen the previous one, i can't comment on the change except about the one i received, honestly i thought it was tacky.

I misplaced the card before i could take a picture of it...but it looks like a 'shaadi ka card' in cream and gold and it also has that butter type paper where they have printed the bag details etc. I am sure they can do much better than that !
The coupon codes look decent i guess -paper print outs, cute black design in the corner, colourful and all that jazz but i honestly wonder why have they cut out these coupons, not like we will have to physically show each card and use them na?

Enough.Back to the products.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream -15ml

Was i excited? No
Was i disappointed? NO
i mean seeing what they have been giving out initially it could be a lot worse lol.
i already own the Vitamin E night treatment in this size (which i might add is lush!).

This was already mentioned in a previous blog and it is something which even i noticed first (apart from Rs195/-)
The expiry of the product! i did think it was weird.. :/
Month & year of import: Apr-11
Month & year of Manuf : Nov-10 (!)
Best before: Nov-13
Correct me if i am wrong, the entire point of BEAUTY BOX/BAGS are to sample products, new products/lines, try out different brands etc, and then form an opinion whether we like it enough to purchase.
Then why on earth would TBS do this? Send out old 2010 products in 2013? Unless TBS is clearing out old stock via beauty boxes or enchantess is buying old stock or something. * Shudders*

Blisslabs Supershine Shampoo Lemon+Sage- 30ml

Ok i have to admit i got super excited seeing a bliss product! i love bliss even though their products don't work for me most of the time. This travel size bottle had a foil seal which i opened immediately to smell the shampoo lol. Smells lovely! Have to give enchantess a star for getting bliss on board, would love to hear from others who got other bliss stuff!

I wont be using the shampoo since i don't experiment with shampoos as i have sensitive skin and anything going wrong with my head hair affects my forehead * scary *  lol.

Snan Neem & Turmeric Mild Soap

Ok so i had no idea one had to peel of the first xerox paper to reveal the second one with the brand name and details about the soap until i saw it on a blog.
I have never heard of this brand and i am not sure if this soap should be used on the face for acne :S Wait should we even use soap on our face? It is a natural product so i am sure i will at least try it...as far the scent goes i am not a fan of it nor do i hate it..

Lastly i was satisfied with my March enchantess bag simply because i had no expectations whatsoever but i wont be subscribing to them hence forth, why? for the reasons below:

1. No Questionnaire !
I dont understand why why why! i mean will they always just send me random stuff at will?

2. Questionable Product expiry.
I dont intend to receive stuff in the future which has been lying for years in some warehouse nor would i like to receive something where the product expiry is uncertain.

3. Needs Improvement in packaging.
I know they are working hard on it and getting better and all that jazz but still it is not good enough at the moment. It feels like vellvette's poor cousin.

4. No Questionnaire !
I repeat why will they send random products without knowing anything about me! i cant just use anything which does not suit me na.

5. Product selection seems dicey.
Now why would i say that? Well i saw people receiving the CK Lip Balm which brings back to point 2, indiscoverable product expiry.

6. No COD option.
I am one of those people who prefer COD unless i was shopping on an International Website. Its convenient and nowadays almost every site offers cod.

7. No Cancellation of Subscriptions.
*UPDATE* They do cancel subscriptions now.
So what if i subbed for 3 months and decided to cancel after the first month itself, can i ? no :(

8. Rs.400 every month can be saved and something useful will be bought. lol

Thats it. i shall stop now, these are my opinions and i might sound a bit harsh but hey what can i say!As consumers we obviously want good things for our hard earned money lol

Have a Great Day!

H&M Mini Shopping Haul !

Hello!

So i travelled to Saudi Arabia in Feb and i know its april now...but i did not seem to have any time to work on this blog! But things are changing now...i see myself being more active here :)
Basically it is going to be a long haul...maybe in 2 parts. here are all my h&m stuff (excluding clothes)
Check it out!

H&M Hand kit:

Price: Sr29 (Rs 423 approx)
This is a super cute hand kit in pink and gold,  i just bought it because it looks so so cute!
It contains a buffer (which says 'when im with you' *aw*)nail cutter, some nail stick and hand cream!

H&M Velvet Amber Body Lotion:

This Body Lotion looked super cute...perfect to add in my massive pink collection . The scent is a bit plasticky  though :( . i should have known a clothing brand like H&M would not make quality skin care but oh well they always have some cute things out to tempt us.

H&M Lip Balm Wild Vanilla :

Price: Sr16
I had to really control myself at h&m...everything looked so cute! this looks like a jumbo lip balm like fevistick jumbo size glue, really. i wanted to pick up everything...even them hello kitty socks but obviously in bombay where i will wear socks and go so yea :/ . My favourite scent in this entire world would be vanilla..so i picked this up...and this too smells plasticky  like the lotion. Bummer.

H&M Pen perfume Hibiscus flower:

 Price: Sr 6
This was one of the things HOW could i  not pick up! its adorable! Just to chuck it in my bag and its plastic so i dont have to worry about it cracking or something. oh and this one was on sale, wished i picked up a few more of these!

H&M Ankle Bracelet:

This again was on sale...very bling and looks lovely when i wear it...:)

H&M Hair mini clips:

My friend used these regularly and had picked them up from london and since then i had them in mind, they are perfect for the princess style hair clipping on the side.

H&M Chandelier Earings:

I absolutely adore these! and i love huge earings...look at the detailing, looks really posh i suppose.

H&M Feather Earings:

I have a couple of feather earings, i find them cute...and these are long and look really pretty!

H&M Metal Chain Earing:

My fav! Looks really edgy...simply love them! Cant wait to wear them tonight :D

I got a couple of more jewellery...but gave them to my friends as presents..and i got a gorgeous peplum dress too! Im going to post part 2 later...which mostly consist of random stuff i picked up on this trip :D

Have a great day xx

My March Vellvette Box 2013 ! -

Hello !

So after the longest wait, my march vellvette box  arrived today!
here's a first look of the box along with a pleasant surprise *omg*
Totally loving the colourful ribbon ;p

Contents:
1. DNA Beauty Cream & Vitamin-C serum - 1 Sachets each
2. Lush Dream Cream
3. NYX Round Lip Gloss in Sparkle
4. Perry ellis Perfume Sample - *BONUS*
5. Meiji Amino Collagen Drink- *BONUS*

1. DNA Beauty Cream & Vitamin-C serum - 1 Sachets each
I haven't heard of 'real DNA' creams or remy laure for that matter and i don't really mind trying out new brands but what i do mind is receiving 1 sample sachet of this around 4k product...! i mean how can i invest in a product worth 4k by just trying this sachet?
If remy laure really wants people to buy their products, they need to at least give decent size samples...we as consumers are spoilt for choice with  plethora of amazing brands and products and this one sachet doesn't cut it. plus i couldn't even find reviews online, oh and bdw its sold on flipkart etc too.
Will i try it? yes, not me actually...will give it to my mom..since i am using too many skin products at the moment, this one won't make a difference (considering its a sachet and all...just saying)

2. Lush Dream Cream
Probably the only product i was happy with in this month's box!
It is a really tiny tin sample...looks really cute!  i tried this dream cream...its too less for large patches so i am using it on my palms...love the feel of this cream! Nice texture...Though i'd say it doesn't make my skin smell as nice as other creams i use, nevertheless its a cute sample ;D

                                            3. NYX Round Lip Gloss in Sparkle
I know a lot of people would be happy to receive a make-up product and trust me so would i (not really) BUT not this! i mean firstly no offence to NYX( i do own their matt creme lip things!) but it is not a LUXURY brand. if i want NYX, i will go and buy it and not think twice about it. PERIOD.Who needs a sample for a 300bucks lip gloss neway?!
Plus this looks like a full size lip gloss, what is the point of it ..*wondering*
And receiving it in this box feels like a waste of money since i will never use this gloss ever, ask why?
well apart from the fact i don't use lip gloss (i mentioned in my profile my style is subtle natural, obviously i was joking since they did'nt take it seriously)

This particular gloss has the biggest SPARKLES, yes SPARKLES in this entire world! like you put it on your lips and you can see the little glitter particles, which even stay behind AFTER you wipe the gloss off. i like pink...i seriously hoard pink stuff but this is ridiculous?!?
i wish they just called it a 'bonus' product...because then i wouldn't feel so strongly about it!
it is like sticking the pink vellvette paper on your lips, except more sticky with bigger glitter particles ;/ *phew*
LOL
Major dislike.

                                            4. Perry ellis Perfume Sample - *BONUS*
Erm yes, this is the same perry ellis sample you guys received some months back...since i am subscribing since jan, i guess i get all the extra random samples lying around at vellvette now as a bonus product..(considering i hastily subscribed to another 6 months *greedy*).
What can i say...i'd never pay for this tiny sample (miniatures are different!) so as long as they don't include it as one of the 3 samples, i'll be ok..i guess.
Though smells nice..but don't like it enough to purchase it.

5. Meiji Amino Collagen Drink- *BONUS*
i was totally not expecting  this..and i  must say i am pleasantly surprised! Really! i googled it immediately, its a well known japanese drink, mostly positive reviews on amazon and other user reviews AND i have already started using it since 3 days :D !
Since the ingredients are natural i was not too scared to take it (have you ever tried omega-3 supplements? just asking)

So finally i'd say the march box was a sort of a flop (Read: sachets, nyx, sparkles)!
Nothing from the box i'd want to purchase...except the Meiji amino drink if i like it, might purchase and that was also outside the box. I did like the lush tiny winy sample of dream cream too.

Ps: You'd be surprised what i got in this months enchantess bag! *omg* This is the first month i subscribed and it even arrived on time! woot woot!

Check out what i got in my march enchantess bag here.
*UPDATE* check out the review for meiji amino collagen here.

Forest Essential Facial Cleanser

Forest Essentials Facial Cleanser (Mashroba Honey, Lemon & Rose water)

Greetings Beauties!

So i have been scouting since a while for the most effective face wash for myself  and this happend to be one of the brands i wanted to desperately try out.

The forest essentials delicate cleanser i picked up for myself was the mashroba wild honey , lemon and rose water bcause it claimed to "tone" purify" and "add glow" and was suitable for all skin type . i have combination skin so a cleanser that suits all skin types is always a good bet because it can be used all around the year and still go well with the mood of my skin according to the weather changes .

What attracted me the most to this brand was that it has all  100% natural stuff and these days i have been consciously trying to use natural products for my skin and hair .
The packaging was pretty nice (i bought the 50ml bottle just to try it out)  So this cleanser is by  far the most best smelling ones i have ever tried ! Makes even washing my face a luxurious experience !

Ingredients
this cleanser has a divine combination of rose water, olive oil, fresh lemon, organic honey (ooooh!) , nagkesar, anatmool, kumud, bee pollen , royal jelly. Its completely paraben free (another plus) just reading the ingredients made me feel that this was going to do some good stuff for my skin ;p
Obviously we all know about the amazing properties of honey , lemon , olive oil and rose water .

Application -
its a smooth honey coloured and textured gel sort of liquid that blends seamlessly into your skin but you need quite a bit to create adequate lather , thats one downside for this product.
It left my skin feeling soft , hydrated , toned and refreshed ! loved it! Doesnt dry at all.

Price
well well this happens to be a little issue as Rs 875 for 200 ml and Rs 250 for 50ml is quite pricey! but again its luxury ayurveda remember ? Vanity is an expensive hobby ;p

Rating- so i would rate this lovely organic cleanser a 4.5/ 5 ( a half for the less lather and price together )

Benefit Bad Gal lash

Benefit bad gal lash

I was looking for a mascara for daily use that wouldn't be to thick but at the same time would provide the adequate lift without looking too theatrical . I recieved this benefit product as a present as a part of a benefit gift set including a few other things  which I will review later on .

So moving on to the bad lash mascara  this product hasn't exactly been a hit for me , you look at any benefit product and love the packaging and start expecting alot but this one was a bummer!

Application-  It has a thick wand which didnt really curl or seperate my lashes. No legnth No volume for me . Did not make much of  a difference to my lash after application so basically it was pretty disappointing and very hyped.

I use this product once In a while because I don't want to waste it but I'd not really go buy a new one once I am done.

Price-  its sold at $26 approx Rs. 1400, does pinch your purse and after spending that amount you definitely expect performance . Glad i got it as a present ;p

Rating- i'd rate this a 2/5 , two for being benefit (one of my favourite brands) and another one for the cute packaging.

Bobby Brown eye pencil(brown) REVIEW

Bobby brown eye pencil

This bobby brown eye pencil in brown plum is absolutely the best brown eye pencil in the market . If your one of those people who don't like wearing the black eye pencil as a part of your daily make up routine then this ones for you ! This pencil defines and accentuates the eyes without being too in your face like a black eye pencil.

The texture is completely smooth like its mentioned on the packaging and you can See the product with only one stroke ! At the other end of the pencil there is a smudger that  can be used if you want to smudge the neat lines off.

Application
This totally works if you want to opt for a complete natural look, I use this to shape my eyes and then slightly smudge it. It can also be used on the eyelids as light plum shadow. Finish the look by  applying some brown lash mascara and trust me no one can even tell that you've  even made an effort on your eyes .
All you will be hearing is how pretty an "natural" your eyes are  :D

Price- This product is on the expensive side with a pencil costing around 15£ (Rs 1200 approx) But ofcourse its a Bobby Brown so the brand value is good .

Where to buy : You can buy it online on ebay or beautiful store(bandra west, mumbai india)

So i rate the Bobby Brown eye pencil a 4/5 , a mark less for being a little expensive ;p
