Forest Essential Facial Cleanser

Forest Essentials Facial Cleanser (Mashroba Honey, Lemon & Rose water)

Greetings Beauties!

So i have been scouting since a while for the most effective face wash for myself  and this happend to be one of the brands i wanted to desperately try out.

The forest essentials delicate cleanser i picked up for myself was the mashroba wild honey , lemon and rose water bcause it claimed to "tone" purify" and "add glow" and was suitable for all skin type . i have combination skin so a cleanser that suits all skin types is always a good bet because it can be used all around the year and still go well with the mood of my skin according to the weather changes .

What attracted me the most to this brand was that it has all  100% natural stuff and these days i have been consciously trying to use natural products for my skin and hair .
The packaging was pretty nice (i bought the 50ml bottle just to try it out)  So this cleanser is by  far the most best smelling ones i have ever tried ! Makes even washing my face a luxurious experience !

Ingredients
this cleanser has a divine combination of rose water, olive oil, fresh lemon, organic honey (ooooh!) , nagkesar, anatmool, kumud, bee pollen , royal jelly. Its completely paraben free (another plus) just reading the ingredients made me feel that this was going to do some good stuff for my skin ;p
Obviously we all know about the amazing properties of honey , lemon , olive oil and rose water .

Application -
its a smooth honey coloured and textured gel sort of liquid that blends seamlessly into your skin but you need quite a bit to create adequate lather , thats one downside for this product.
It left my skin feeling soft , hydrated , toned and refreshed ! loved it! Doesnt dry at all.

Price
well well this happens to be a little issue as Rs 875 for 200 ml and Rs 250 for 50ml is quite pricey! but again its luxury ayurveda remember ? Vanity is an expensive hobby ;p

Rating- so i would rate this lovely organic cleanser a 4.5/ 5 ( a half for the less lather and price together )

Benefit Bad Gal lash

Benefit bad gal lash

I was looking for a mascara for daily use that wouldn't be to thick but at the same time would provide the adequate lift without looking too theatrical . I recieved this benefit product as a present as a part of a benefit gift set including a few other things  which I will review later on .

So moving on to the bad lash mascara  this product hasn't exactly been a hit for me , you look at any benefit product and love the packaging and start expecting alot but this one was a bummer!

Application-  It has a thick wand which didnt really curl or seperate my lashes. No legnth No volume for me . Did not make much of  a difference to my lash after application so basically it was pretty disappointing and very hyped.

I use this product once In a while because I don't want to waste it but I'd not really go buy a new one once I am done.

Price-  its sold at $26 approx Rs. 1400, does pinch your purse and after spending that amount you definitely expect performance . Glad i got it as a present ;p

Rating- i'd rate this a 2/5 , two for being benefit (one of my favourite brands) and another one for the cute packaging.

Bobby Brown eye pencil(brown) REVIEW

Bobby brown eye pencil

This bobby brown eye pencil in brown plum is absolutely the best brown eye pencil in the market . If your one of those people who don't like wearing the black eye pencil as a part of your daily make up routine then this ones for you ! This pencil defines and accentuates the eyes without being too in your face like a black eye pencil.

The texture is completely smooth like its mentioned on the packaging and you can See the product with only one stroke ! At the other end of the pencil there is a smudger that  can be used if you want to smudge the neat lines off.

Application
This totally works if you want to opt for a complete natural look, I use this to shape my eyes and then slightly smudge it. It can also be used on the eyelids as light plum shadow. Finish the look by  applying some brown lash mascara and trust me no one can even tell that you've  even made an effort on your eyes .
All you will be hearing is how pretty an "natural" your eyes are  :D

Price- This product is on the expensive side with a pencil costing around 15£ (Rs 1200 approx) But ofcourse its a Bobby Brown so the brand value is good .

Where to buy : You can buy it online on ebay or beautiful store(bandra west, mumbai india)

So i rate the Bobby Brown eye pencil a 4/5 , a mark less for being a little expensive ;p

My First Vellvette Box Jan 2013

Whats in my Vellvette Jan 2013 Box?

Hello!
this is my first post and about my first vellvette box! how awesome...right? ever since i saw pictures of these boxes online, i was dying to get my hands on them ASAP! so i got myself a 3-month subscription. After days of dreaming about it, mine finally arrived today *omgsmiley*.

This is what i got !
(no box pictures sorry. too excited to open it)

1. Nyassa Belgian Chocolate scrub (40gms)   2. OPI Nail Lacquer (3.75ml)
3. Bath & Body Works (59ml)

NYASSA BELGIAN CHOCOLATE SCRUB
( So i have noticed this little tin is a constant in most of the boxes for this month :D )

t smells and looks REALLY yummy. Im not a fan of scrubs...i don't generally use scrubs (shame on me) but i am willing to try it as part of my new skin care regimen! But i feel these visible sugar crystals will be to harsh on the skin, let's see.
The product is alot less for the tin though, it just settles at the bottom of the tin.

OPI NAIL LACQUER in "Red lights ahead where..."

Mini OPI nail polish * yay * its a very flattering red colour, applies smoothly, one coat is good enough.
i have used OPI before, obviously so i was not very excited to see it in my first box or any box ever. BUT at least they got the colour right..but then again OPI does have lovely shades. Anyway...one can not have too many reds right? ;) *makes self feelbetter*

Bath & Body Works - Dark Kiss Body Lotion

This was the only product i liked and i mean REALLY liked it (notice the caps?)
It smells so good, i keep sniffing my arms for the scent. its that good. Pretty strong, floral..hard to describe the scent exactly...sensuous (?! ) its more of a night time/winter scent AND also very long lasting. It does not make my skin particularly soft..i guess my skin is the same just that it has an awesome scent to it!

Sad part?  yes there is a sad part, strangely this unsealed bottle of lotion had spilled/leaked in the box..?! Does that happen :s
I am definitely going to purchase the fullsize..! (my mom, sister loved it too, so we are abit it an emergency to buy the fullsize. lol )

So overall i am guess satisfied, only because i got the dark kiss lotion. the 3-month subscription cost me Rs 1199/- and i paid COD . i received discount coupons to use on the vellvette website to purchase the full-size products.

PS: My sister ordered one too! we also gifted one to a friend, yet to arrive though. Cant wait to see what they get, hopefully she does not get the same things as i, we (sis) live in the same house and don't want two of the same products.

UPDATE: My sister received 2 of the same products as me, the nyassa belgian scrub and opi nail paint (white) and a very tiny biotherm face cleanser. She did not like anything and refused to subscribe any further.
The friend we gifted was a bit older, she received the bath & body works body lotion in sweet pea, nyassa scrub and anna andre lip colour.

Have a great day !

The Body Shop Blush (HG)

My Fav: THE BODY SHOP- BLUSH (02)

The body shop blush 02
Sorry for poor lighting, my camera was acting funny!
I am a big fan of natural pinkish glow on the cheek without being too over the top and this body shop blush in color no. 02 is my cheek HG. It is this soft light pink color .

I have combination skin mostly tilted towards the oily side as the day advances so any sort of sticky or liquid blush is a big no for me unless I would want really oily and sticky cheeks until eventually causing a breakout . This blush is compact in a dry form thus not shining in case of oily skinand blends perfectly into your skin resulting in a natural pretty glow! During the winter I use this blush on top of my moisturiser and it still looks beautiful .

The price of this product is reasonable so once you run out of it (which is rare, i use this ALOT and still you can see lots of product left) you dont need to save a lot to buy it .
So keeping all the positives in mind this product has an unshakable position in my do or die list !
 Definately a Do!

Product Rating: 4/5 ( one star less for no brush! i have to either carry one around or use my fingers).
Price: 495/-

Available at all Bodyshop stores across.
